IT Kids appoints master franchisee in Goa

Chennai-based IT Kids, leaders in providing IT education for children between 4 to14 years, today announced the appointment of its Master Franchisee in Goa. This follows shortly after the appointment of IT Kids’ first Master Franchisee in Mumbai last month .IT Kids also announced major expansion plans for Goa and the entire Western Region. IT Kids plans to open 5 IT (Kids) education centres in Goa within the next one year which will enable IT Kids rapidly penetrate the nascent market and make available IT education to children in the city. The targeted IT Kids’ centres will be in Margao, Panjim, Ponda, Vasco and Mapsa.  Also, during this period, IT Kids will open 100 IT education centres for children in all major towns and cities in Western India. With the opening of these centres, IT Kids hopes to introduce over 5000 children in Western India to the exciting and fun filled world of IT education. IT Kids has already opened centres in Pune, Ahmedabad, Nasik, Rajkot and Mumbai in addition to Goa in Western India.  Announcing the appointment of Compu World as the Master Franchisee for Goa, Mr. V Suresh Kumar, director, IT Kids said: “The Master Franchisee gets the right to appoint Franchisees in a particular region and his role would be to develop that market and to nurture, grow, manage and motivate kids and franchisees in addition to providing marketing support to the franchisees appointed by him. He would also promote the business through active local promotions.”

 

The Master Franchisee gets a well established brand name, a curriculum that is well researched, technical know how, marketing, advertising and technical support from IT Kids.  In addition, the staff are thoroughly trained by IT Kids to ensure adherence to the high quality standards of IT Kids. “We have developed a course that enables a child to learn the basics of using information technology like handling a mouse, to more complicated things like using spreadsheets, word processing, multimedia and the internet --- all this and more through fun filled exercises. With the nation poised on the brink of the next millennium, which is going to be highly technology driven, computer education will stand the Indian 'Generation Next' in good stead ” says V Narayan, director, IT Kids. The academic focus is on Mathematics, Science, Social Studies and Languages. Developed after extensive research, these courses are divided into age appropriate modules like Young Adventurer, Young Doctor and Young Artist. A year-long course at IT Kids consists of 42 sessions and costs Rs.6200.

Launched in August 1998, IT Kids is a joint venture between the Mumbai based 700-million Indchem Group and two Chennai based technocrat entrepreneurs V Suresh Kumar and V Narayan.
