widens its distribution network - appoints Compuage Electronics as Additional
Distributor Bangalore

In a move to cater to the growing Indian
market for its products, AMP India Limited, the wholly owned subsidiary
of AMP Incorporated, USA, today announced the appointment of Compuage
Electronics, a leader in the IT distribution industry, as its
additional distributor in India. With the appointment of Compuage
Electronics, AMP India's NET CONNECT Solutions Division, which
markets premises cabling systems products and solutions through
trained NET CONNECT designers and installers, has widened its
channel network. Chennai-based Ramco had been the sole distributor
of AMP's networking products for the past three years. In India,
AMP has been a serious contender for market leadership in the
structured cabling business. Apart from this, there have also
been significant gains in the distribution channel reach, in terms
of winning projects from different segments. According to Mr. K K Shetty, Country Manager, NET CONNECT Solutions
Division, AMP India, "With the increasing demand for our
products and in order to reach out to different segments of the
market, we felt the need to further reinforce our channel network.
